Viarnne chats with Suzie Plakson about the birth of her long awaited, long gestated creation “The Return of King Lillian”
You can contribute to the launch of this unique ebook / audio book by jumping on Kickstarter before 10 May
This mythic tale is a newfangled narrative with an old-fashioned feel.
An allegorical story for non-conformists of all ages.
So, why the manly moniker in tandem with the womanly name?
“The Firstborn Child of The Emperor-King
Inherits the Ruling Crown, the Title of Emperor-King
and All Powers Thereof.”
~ Item 37, The Royal Manual
Enter Lillian, the firstborn child of said Emperor-King.
Cast out of her kingdom by malevolent forces,
mysteriously waylaid by Destiny,
the spirited, self-reliant Lillian sets off on an exuberant journey
to find her way home and claim her birthright.
As we speak, the book is finished – yahoo! – and in the process of being edited and polished. And now we want to bring it to you in as fine a fashion as possible.
I feel so fortunate that such terrifically talented people are coming on board to create the most artful possible website: a gorgeous reading ride, and a downloadable, streaming audio experience. Yes, this will also be an audiobook, recorded by me. (Rumor has it I’m a professional actress.)
So, there’s art to commission, an entire book to record, studio costs, editing, and, oh – a whole smorgasbord of necessary technical etceteras that I can’t even begin to understand – all of which are essential to the creation of an elegant website. We want to design a cool place to come relax and stay awhile. And the funding, of course, is what will make all of this possible.
The dream: The book first blooms into this extraordinary website, which, if the winds are with us, eventually grows into a portal for a variety of related media, and, yes – an old-fashioned, beautifully crafted hardcover book of “The Return of King Lillian.”
So, should you choose to favor us with your profoundly kind and generous support, you will, of course, have our everlasting gratitude. Additionally, please peruse the variety of “thank you!” gifts presented along the right-hand side of this page.
Thank you for stopping by.
Thank you for listening and watching and reading.
Thank you for even thinking about being our patron saints.
