2007 Highlights: WWMN Launches in Feb with Special Guest Jack Thompson and WWW Finalist in Banksia Environmental Award
WONDERFUL WORLD MEDIA NETWORK & ‘What a Wonderful World’ FINALIST IN THIS YEAR’S BANKSIA ENVIRONMENTAL AWARDS – AUSTRALIA’S MOST PRESTIGIOUS ENVIRONMENTAL ACCOLADE
As the media category was not included in the 2007 Banksia Environmental Awards, ‘What a Wonderful World’ was nominated in the extensive community category of the Awards this year. Amongst a large amount of entrants, the show has been selected as a finalist for 2007. This is the show’s 4th acknowledgement within it’s first year of production, having won the Inaugural Whitehorse Sustainability Award for Innovation 2006 and the 2007 CBOnline ‘Toot Your Own Horn’, as well as Wonderful World Media Network being acknowledged for it’s contribution at this year’s Premier’s Sustainability Awards, Victoria.

‘May the Sauce be with you!’ Australian Icon Jack Thompson shares a yarn or two about rasing funds for Land Care.
In celebration of the launch of Wonderful World Media Network in February 07 and the new format for ‘What a Wonderful World’, Jack Thompson not only delighted listeners with his humorous anecdotes about the creation of his famous barbeque sauce, we were also entertained by a duet with Jack’s good friend, renowned International musician and composer Nic Lyon on violin accompanied by Jack on harmonica.
