Miriam’s guests are the thought leaders of the conscious awakening. Miriam’s left-brained corporate career on three continents made a sharp right turn onto the spiritual path about 15 years ago. Homeopathic veterinarian Dr Margaret O’Riordan shares her great wisdom bi-monthly (Feb, April, June, Aug, Oct, Dec) and seasonally team members from RSPCA and Animals Australia talk about issues and campaigns for protecting our animals.

Each month Kay and her great line up of special guests discuss supportive information for parents in bringing up healthy children in our high pressure society.

DR DAVIDICUS WONG – POSITIVE POTENTIAL MEDICINE

Dr. Davidicus Wong was born in Vancouver, Canada where he continues to work as a family physician, integrating meditation, hypnosis, acupuncture and cognitive therapy in his medical practice. He received his M.D. from the University of British Columbia.  At Burnaby Hospital, where he continues to deliver babies, he chaired the Ethical Resources Committee from 1992 to 2007 and did ethics consultations from 1997 to 2007, he was Head of the Department of Family Practice from 2003 to 2010, and he chaired the hospital’s Medical Advisory Committee from 2006 to 2007. He was the Chair of the Fraser Health Authority Medical Advisory Committee from 2008 to 2010.

Since February 2009, he has been the Provincial Family Practice Champion of the BCMA’s Practice Support Program. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Practice, Faculty of Medicine at U.B.C.

Since 1991, he has written a regular medical column published in the Vancouver Courier, Burnaby Now, Royal City Record and associated community newspapers in the Lower Mainland. She took the plunge back into marriage to her Colonel and is currently living in Melbourne acting as an Agent for International publishers New Holland Publishing; her brief being celebrities, restaurants and chefs. Linda is an inventor with a couple of successful world wide inventions under her belt and has spent many years helping mentor others in the invention world. She has long wanted to address baby boomer issues as she believes the changes, achievements, inventions and mind sets of this age make for an amazing history! Linda’s many years of empathy, socializing and business add to a lot of laughs and insight to The Power Surge Show.

Young voices for our planet – Tuesdays 4-5pm

Primary Perspectives is Australia’s first specialty radio show created to provide an opportunity for primary school children to start a meaningful dialogue about their care and concerns for our planet and what they can do to create a sustainable future. Produced by the multi-award winning Wonderful World Media Network, this innovative children’s show offers the opportunity for young people aged between 8-12 years to become a part of the production team and to present on live radio. Primary Perspectives’ junior team pitch their subjects at a level most suited to their audience’s maturity. Members of the team also suggest topics and research content and news items, as well as engage guests to make sure they are constantly contributing to the production process. In the monthly segment ‘Personal Perspectives’ the team speaks with children from all over the world about topics that matter to them – young voices speaking out for our planet.
